The 1st North Carolina Cavalry was considered one of the finest regiments in the Confederate service, and was often chosen for the most difficult and hazardous duties. Today we honor the men and horses on both sides of our Nation’s greatest conflict by striving to create a quality, historically accurate representation of this elite cavalry regiment. We train regularly and pride ourselves on the care and treatment of our horses. If you want to recreate the bond between the cavalry trooper and his mount,
the 1st North Carolina Cavalry may be a home for you.
